CFP – Certified Financial Planner
CFP® professionals must pass the comprehensive CFP® Certification Examination, pass CFP Board’s Fitness Standards for Candidates and Registrants, agree to abide by CFP Board’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility and Rules of Conduct which put clients’ interests first and comply with the Financial Planning Practice Standards which spell out what clients should be able to reasonably expect from the financial planning engagement.
GBDS – Group Benefits Disability Specialist
The GBDS GROUP BENEFITS DISABILITY SPECIALIST program will equip you with the tools you need to engage clients in meaningful dialogue about the entire group benefits product portfolio, and help you position the importance of the least understood group insurance — disability income insurance. Through completion of the rigorous GBDS self-study curriculum, you will gain significant expertise that will benefit your clients.
CIC – Certified Insurance Counselor
Offered by The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, the CIC program has been the industry’s premier, proven source for practical, real-world education since 1969. It covers important aspects in personal lines, commercial casualty, commercial property, life and health and agency management.
Series 7 Financial Services License
This registration qualifies a candidate for the solicitation, purchase, and/or sale of all securities products, including corporate securities, municipal securities, municipal fund securities, options, direct participation programs, investment company products, and variable contracts.
RHU – Registered Health Underwriter
Offered by The American College, earning the REBC designation will provides practical knowledge on pensions and retirement plan funding, installation and administration. The program also covers group medical plans, long-term care, executive compensation, personnel management and much more.
REBC – Registered Employee Benefit Consultant
It includes deep, practical knowledge on pensions and retirement plan funding, installation and administration. The program also covers group medical plans, long-term care, executive compensation, personnel management and much more.
CLU – Chartered Life Underwriter
The CLU course of study helps provide in-depth knowledge on the insurance needs of individuals, business owners and professional clients. The courses needed to earn this professional designation are offered through The American College.
HIP – Health Insurance Professional
The Health Insurance Professional (HIP) program is a series of classes that offers a unique, comprehensive real-world education that can’t be found anywhere else. Covering everything from industry basics to the finest details of legislation, this series of classes will equip agents with all the tools necessary to reach unprecedented levels of success. Upon completion, students will earn the prestigious Health Insurance Professional designation, endorsed by the National Association of Health Underwriters.
Certified in Long Term Care
The “Certified in Long-Term Care” (CLTC) program is the long-term care insurance industry’s only independent professional designation. Created in 1999, the course is focused on the field of long-term care planning and provides legal, accounting, insurance and financial service professionals the critical tools necessary to address the subject matter with their middle-age clients.
PPACA Certification Course
Developed by experts in both PPACA and employment law, this high-level 10 module course ensures that the student understands the key technical components of PPACA and is better prepared to counsel his or her clients on upcoming required healthcare changes and new options and requirements for health plans.
